Advanced Robotic Dairies

Heber Loughmiller spoke to the Burley Rotary club today about his dairy operations at Hillside Dairy in Elba Idaho. His dairy runs close to 150 head of cattle through their operations. Their operation utilizes robots in the milking process and their dairy was one of the first robotic milking dairies in Idaho.  Robotic milking allows the cows to set their own milking schedule and makes for healthier and more consistent cows. Death rates are also drastically reduces due to their philosophy of allowing the cows to operate “the way God intended them to.”
